Who doesn’t like a little dance, a little art, a little music … and a lot of free fun? Nobody. So get down to Liberty Station and check out what’s going on.  Friday Night Liberty is a free, first-Friday event with free parking. Find out more, and get a little culture, gain a lot of rich experience.

Children’s Historic Street Fair: Fall Back. You and your children can check out what it might have been like to live back in another era, when ice cream socials and pie-eating contests were all the rage, and a blacksmith was an every day sight.  The San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation hosts this fun free event. (You’ll pay a small fee to do some of the activities, but a lot of it is completely free.) Plan on taking the kids out to this olden day event Saturday. Trade your old tools for somebody else’s at the “Old tool swap meet” 6 a.m. to noon at the Rockler Woodworking parking lot, 8199 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., Kearny Mesa.
